Kidz Prints Community Raises $3,587 for FightMND at Our Big Freeze Event

At Kidz Prints, we are incredibly proud of the wonderful community that surrounds our children and families.

Last Friday, our Kidz Prints families came together for our Big Freeze fundraising event, raising an incredible $3,587 for FightMND.

It was an afternoon filled with laughter, community spirit, fundraising, raffle prizes and, of course, plenty of ice!

Coming Together for an Important Cause

The Big Freeze was held to support FightMND and contribute towards the fight against motor neurone disease (MND).

This cause is particularly meaningful to our Kidz Prints community, as one of our families continues to navigate the challenges associated with this disease.

What made the event so special was seeing our families come together to support one another and contribute to something bigger than ourselves.

For a small centre like Kidz Prints, raising $3,587 is an incredible achievement, and we couldn't be more proud of our community.

An Afternoon Full of Fun

The event brought together children, parents and educators for an afternoon of activities and fundraising.

One of the highlights was our very own ice bucket challenge, where our educators bravely took on the challenge — with plenty of cheering and laughter from the children and families!

Our children even had the opportunity to vote for which educators they wanted to see take on the challenge, making the experience even more exciting.

Alongside the Big Freeze, families could purchase raffle tickets and enjoy a range of activities and treats throughout the afternoon.

The success of our fundraiser would not have been possible without the generosity of our Kidz Prints families and the wonderful local businesses that supported the event.

We received an amazing selection of raffle prizes, including restaurant vouchers, beauty treatments, jewellery, sporting memorabilia, a surfboard, boxing sessions and more.

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated prizes, helped organise the event, purchased raffle tickets, made a donation or simply came along to support the afternoon.

Your generosity made a real difference.

Helping Children Learn About Community

Events like the Big Freeze are also valuable learning experiences for children.

By seeing their parents, educators and community members come together to support an important cause, children can begin to understand the importance of:

  • Kindness and empathy

  • Helping others

  • Community connection

  • Generosity

  • Working together

  • Supporting people who may be facing challenges

These lessons don't always happen in a classroom. Sometimes, children learn simply by watching the people around them come together and make a positive contribution.

Every donation and raffle ticket contributed to our final fundraising total.

Together, the Kidz Prints community raised $3,587 for FightMND.

For us, this number represents much more than a fundraising total. It represents the generosity of our families, the support of local businesses, the enthusiasm of our educators and the strength of our community.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who played a part.
